Our story.

In 2008 I set up Ecostudio and began working alongside some key policymakers, leading academics and pioneering businesses in response to what I saw as an urgent need to put sustainability into business practice.

Having spent the early part of my career in the design industry, I witnessed how some of the products and packaging that I was designing were ultimately ending up on waste tips in the Philippines with people scavenging a living from what they found there. This made me stop and think.

Since then I’ve built a credible track record through delivering sustainability projects that generate commercial advantage for businesses and new income streams for funded organisations. Picking up awards, informing policy and gaining media coverage along the way. Read more in The Guardian and in Wales Online.

Today, with legislation in place to protect our future generations and increase social value, coupled with international commitments for carbon reduction and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Trade buyers, investors and consumers actively seek out businesses and organisations with purpose. This means the marketplace has become increasingly competitive for brands, products, packaging and services that are low in environmental impact and high in social value.

We focus on building capability and capacity of organisations to develop commercially sound strategies that deliver measurable environmental and social outcomes for their clients in ways withstand stakeholder scrutiny. Our philosophy is based on learning together through sharing experiences.
